Collaboration with Eva Urrutia

Through Your Eyes tells the story of Maria; a young Latin-American woman, whose parents had been detained and disappeared by the military dictatorship when she and her siblings were children. Risking it all to uncover the mystery that was destined to remain buried, and guiding us through her fragmented memories, Maria will recount her history. It is a history which struggles to stay alive in a society which attempts to silence it.

This film is an attempt to educate people throughout the world about the human rights violations that haunt Latin America, especially from the point of view of the children who experience that repression themselves. The directors of the film consider that to raise consciousness worldwide regarding human rights violations in Latin America will mobilize people's hearts, so that they will join the struggle for this to never happen again in any corner of the world. The directors believe that it is important not to get caught up in the horror but rather, to move beyond it in order to find hope for the future.
